Local middleschool girls involved in STEM activites

On October 8, AAUW Vancouver will offer a program featuring two groups of local middle school girls involved in STEM subject activities.  The speakers will be Jasmine Wu, Katherine Valbuena, Aubrey Nesti and Heidi Long, four seventh-grade girls from Pacific Middle School, who won NASA’s 2016 Optimus Prime Spinoff Promotion and Research Challenge, which asks students to create new uses of NASA technologies, and three 2016 AAUW Washington Tech Trek campers, Ashlyn Shradbeck, Felicity Burton and Shyann Langord, who will share their experiences at AAUW Washington’s STEM camp.  The Tech Trek campers were able to attend the camp as the result of donations from our branch members.
